See our post below from March 26…looks like we will be heading down to the $69 area.
Computer Issues
To our followers, we have encountered computer issues today and so we will not be posting, Hopefully by end of week we will be up and running..Stay tuned
Thanks for following MagmaTraders
CSTR – Streaming Higher
This volatile stock keeps hitting our radar. A new streaming partnership with Verizon, the existing Redbox and coin counting business, along with adding coffee to the product offering could keep this stock percolating.
One of the most heavily shorted stocks in the S&P 1500 could cause this one to scream higher if the yearly guidance comes in better than expected.
Genworth Financial Inc (GNW) – Bull Flag Formation
GNW has some really nice chart formations going for it – cup and handle and bull flag. A bull flag pattern is found within an uptrend of a stock. This pattern is named for the resemblance of a flag on a pole and is a continuation pattern. The technical buy point is when price penetrates the upper trend line of the flag area, ideally on volume expansion.
After Hours News – The financial security company announced it will sell its wealth management business for $412.5 million to a partnership of Aquiline Capital Partners and Genstar Capital. The deal is expected to be completed in the second half of the year. Shares ticked higher in extended-hours trading. GNW just looks like it wants to go higher. We like it.
FRAN – Announces secondary offering of 7.39 mln shares of common stock
Sometimes you get hit with news that comes out of the blue that may change a stocks value. The story has not changed, but valuation may….We still like the FRAN until the chart tells us diferent. And when it does we’ll let you know.
Co announced a secondary offering of 7,394,727 shares of its common stock. All 7,394,727 shares are being offered by selling stockholders, which includes certain members of management of the Company and certain affiliates of CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC. The Company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares in this offering. Upon completion of this offering, CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC will no longer own any shares of the Company’s common stock. Jefferies LLC is acting as the sole underwriter for the offering.
ISRG – May Need a Robot to Fix its Stock
FFIV – Networker or Netweaker?
FOSL – Maybe Just too Much Competition
After a good earnings report the stock flamed out. Concern about the demographic that buys these products, as well as coming introductions of hot watches from AAPL and Samsung are pressuring these shares.
After a double top at 140 and then crashing in May of 2012, FOSL has struggled to regain its monster run. Now a head and shoulders topping formation leads us to believe we are looking at lower prices.
Meet Fran
Francesca is an exciting retailer that is just on the verge of being discovered by investors and shoppers alike. This under loved retailer reported better than expected EPS last week, upped guidance and has a very larger short position of 45% and a very low float of 34.8M(as of 2/28/2013). The company offers a selection of fashion apparel, jewelry, accessories, and gifts primarily to its female customers. As of February 2, 2013, it operated 360 boutiques under the Francesca’s name in 44 states in the United States. The company also sells its products through its Website at francescas.com.
Technically the chart has been in a sideways pattern for the last 5 months. But with the latest news and short term breakout on almost 2x avg daily volume, this stock has out attention. Look for higher prices over the next several months as Francesca’s begins increase its place in fashion retail.

Hot Stocks..Hot Thoughts – Blasts from the Past
Our goal at magma traders is to bring you stocks that have the same characteristics of that magma before it cools, beautiful, hot, and exciting.
A couple of stocks from the past can help illustrate our blog. IOMEGA and LA GEAR. These were both small float, little followed, story stocks when we first acquired them. They both became big, big winners for us. Five to ten baggers in under a year. But they eventually cooled, and we cooled with them, and watched many of our gains disappear. We have learned from our past. We now exit these magna stocks before they have cooled.
Stay tuned for more magmathoughts and magmastocks from MagmaTraders.
